…Tommy Ton’s Jak & Jil blog which just keeps feeding me shoe fantasies so feverish that it makes me want to take illegal bank loans. Tommy’s pics finally are getting the attention they deserve as his blog has given peole the sort of eye candy that is hard to replicate given the heightened style stakes fashion week serves up. That Tommy is also a really sweet guy in real life means doing the fashion week circuit is a lot more fun. Yesterday, Hilary of Vancouver’s Style Finds sent over of a scanned page from Canadian mag Flare where Tommy gave a round-up of best-dressed of 2008 and next to Emmanuelle Alt and Kate Lanphear, there I am… an odd place to be for sure. In a year where I’ve had probably the most negative comments sending me into childish doubts about how I should dress (Resolution fo 2009 – thicker skin? Ooops…that was the resolution for last year…doh!), this wee gesture from Tommy coupled with my own determination for a healthier state of mind in 2009 means whilst I’ll never be as sexily elegant as Emmanuelle Alt, as cool as Kate L, or as lux as the Vogueites that have made this page, what goes on my bod makes me a happier person.
