Where’s the Gem

>> I completely forgot about these pics until I saw the online version of the Forever 21 magazine which I took these pics for.  The crucial point though isn't F21 though, but the GEM SWEATER depicted.  It's definitely a sweater, there are definitely sweater but I'm not sure if it qualifies in Leslie Hall's eyes, given that since I posted about her Gem Sweater fixation, she has taken down that portion of her site (**EDIT** – it's coincidentally back up again!).  Now I'm at a lost… would Leslie ever embrace me if I were to walk around in Iowa wearing this.  Would she not be impressed because perhaps the mohair puffed up sleeves are too fancy and the fit renders it not so much a baggy sweater?  I'm deeply worried over the qualification…

I am scrutinising this video though and seeing some similarities between my gem sweater and Leslie's that comes in about 30 seconds into this video… there's hope for me and the sweater yet…

  7. i always lurk silently, but something about this sweater has made me comment. This sweater just has the 80’s and my cool artist/writer aunt all over it. If i squint at your picture, I see my aunt (and feel warm inside in a totally nonsick way).

  38. i’ve seen leslie in concert…and she is nothing short of brilliant. my friend wore a gem sweater and leslie brought him on stage to officially name said sweater…she is a genius.

  44. funny i just packed a slightly less sparkly version of that sweater and similar leather shorts. but now i can’t remember if i packed it in the “need it now” or “maybe later boxes”. hmmmm.
