>> I'm not sure what I got myself into when on my last day in New York, Phil Oh of Street Peeper and I did some whirlwind shooting and styling for the adidas Originals streetstyle battle lookbook. The battle has commenced and I'm not sure if I've got the balls to take the 'hot or not' scenario adidas have set up, whereby the different looks from the different cities styled by their respective bloggers are pitted against each other on a daily basis. Ignore these screenshot tallies, because sadly New York, the city I'm battling on behalf of is err…trailing in last place. Is this like Eurovision where there are slightly political motives? Are our looks not the bee's knees (alright that's a fishing question… I can concede that they're not in fact megabomb outfits…) Or is this punishment from above for representing a city that isn't actually my own?
In my defense, I couldn't have really worked with another blogger in the world as well as I do with Phil and given that we were in New York, which may as well be my second home, I put aside my London patrotism for the time being.
At the end of the day, the site is pretty clever at generating a good bit of internet banter and of course gives a lot of click-happy action to those that are rooting for their cities to succeed and actually I'm loving the looks that Hilary Tsui of Hong Kong and Stil in Berlin have put together. I'll shamelessly canvas for some votes. Londoners are also free to vote in opposition to protest my betrayal to this fair city…
the lookbook insane. i really aplaude adidas for their effort. glad you guys were involved.
