Susie’s Off Day

I have been very forthcoming and open about my style and my outfits on this blog since the beginning so of course I’m not going to withhold the bad ones  Many of you have been very sweet with your compliments with regards to my style but I swear to god, if you saw this outft in person, you would want to take them back pronto.

You may or may not know that I’m in the process of moving house.  To say it’s been a disaster would be mild.  My new place doesn’t yet have the internet so as yet I can’t move in but all my clothes and shoes are there.  Right now, I’m surviving on the foul dregs in my wardrobe that I haven’t touched since….. I don’t even remember!

We have these really old unflattering Karen Walker shorts that were an impulse sale buy in Hong Kong.  Some sort of odd poloneck top with a sheer floral patterned body from Pinko.  An oversized Topman grey cardigan which I love dearly but frankly doesn’t even vaguely match what I’m wearing.  A pair of Carvela pair of lurid blue tweed flats that I got on sale.  A navy leather bag that my sister gave me from her bag company internship and a multi-leather patchwork tote that’s pretty much on the wrong side of gaudy to carry my laptop.  Then there’s the emergency hat I bought from H&M because it was raining, thinking I could work leopard print but actually just looks a little silly.   Oh, and ratty -ended hair from lack of brushing and stupid windy rain.

In no way am I a matchy matchy sort of person but trying to mistmatch as much as possible is not the point either!  I went to work basically looking like a second rate Mary Kate Olsen wannabe.  Two more days of work, two more days surviving on horrid dregs.  It’s going to be tragically amusing.  If anyone asks I’ll just growl ‘Goddamn house move!’

P.S. It doesn’t look too bad in this lighting but in broad daylight – dreadful, I tell you!
