Looking at the Bitte Kai Rand & Co. S/S07 collection at Copenhagen Fashion Week that took place two weeks ago, I couldn’t help but get a sense of deja vu. Now what could it remind me of….. Why it’s the very similar to the Prada S/S06 collection of course! The grey and white palettes, the chunky brown shoes, the slouchy semi-sheer socks. But I’m not one to criticise the reference because Miuccia Prada is a fashion-forward thinker and it’s not surprising that it rubs off. Plus I still love what Bittie Kai Rand have done and this was actually my favourite collection out of the whole fashion week. Hopefully by 2007, I’ll still be feeling the nochalent, minimalist vibe with these formless shirtdresses and grey and cream tones.
