I really should be doing the right fashion thing and reporting on the haute couture shows that have been going down a storm in Paris but fashion-savvy folk that you are will probably have read all about it at 99 other blogs so I’ll leave the commentary to the pros. However, I did pick up on the trompe d’oeil (if you’re sick of me yapping on about the trompe – please shout!) fake bling going on at Jean Paul Gaultier’s couture show. Only Gaultier could make a fake twinkling gem work on a dress.
Why encrust your dress with the real thing and risk looking like a Swarovski-clad Paris Hilton when you can wear bling with a bit of tongue and cheek.
