When I came across this editorial entitled ‘Theatrical’ shot by Mario Sorrenti in the latest Vogue Italia, I thought to myself ‘She would be the coolest thing to have in my living room, just as pure decoration.’ Ok, that sounds really freaky but seriously – the composition, the structure of the skirt, the rings in her hair – all perfection. If this was a life size figurine, I would so be buying it! Which begs the question – what exactly is this editorial selling? A concept? A pair of shoes? A piece of art? It’s definitely not screaming to me to buy whatever it is she’s wearing but I sure do want to stare at this apparition for a long long time.
