>> It's been a battle against the elements in New York this fashion week with hot rain, humid air crashing into you and windy gusts with generally high temperatures that kept the sweaters and jackets away. A perfect opportunity therefore to round up some of the get ups that are the exact opposite of how to combat that kind of weather because clearly I ignore forecasts. My solace was escaping into Duane Reade or Dunkin' Donuts every so often to get blasts of air con, an easy enough task in New York where the two D's dominate the blocks.
First up, a bit of J Dubs lovin'. J.W. Anderson for Topshop is nearly upon us but of course the mainline is still rules my wardrobe, helped by a crazy I.T. sale in Hong Kong that saw me buying a piece of J.W. Anderson S/S 12 menswear crochet top and a womenswear cardigan skirt. I topped it off with a Ostwald Helgason x Noel Stewart cork cap – just about the only piece that I can wear without fear of clashing with the street style starlets who have taken to wearing Ostwald Helgason's recent collections with a passion.
Japanese school girl or deranged geisha? I can't quite decide but I definitely needed an elegant parasol of some sorts when I crossed the courtyard at the Lincoln Centre in the pouring rain. Pah. It's just WATER! A friend of mine was a bit boggled by all the layers I had on but for me it's a simple mathematics equation of everything times two. Two tops (Monki shirt and MGSM neon lace top). Two skirts (Jenny Fax pinafore and Walter van Beirondonck skirt). Two bags (Rag & Bone's debut Pilot bag and a Jason Wu Daphne both in red). And a double lace-up motion on the ASOS Black sandals, which everyone was shocked at upon hearing they were *whisper* ASOS.
In all seriousness, I was inspired by Super Mario and Noddy all at once with this outfit courtesy of a houndstooth cap and dungaree tunic dress by House of Holland along with my vintage Chanel denim shorts-of-the-summer. A Claire Vivier oversized clutch and Balenciaga shoes prevented me from falling into an abyss of permanent childhood regression.
Great outfits! super post
have a fun time in NY

LOVE HOW BASEBALL HATS ARE BACK. THE MOMENT THEY WERE BACK I WASNT SURE THEY WERE “THAT” BACK. AMAZING OUTFITS BY THE WAY, AND I WAS SURPRISED AT THE ASOS SANDALS TOO. GREAT CHOICE!

The ‘two of everything’ outfit is genius! Who knew red gingham and neon lace were meant to combined and live happily ever after.

I’m in love with your first outfit!
Check out my new blog:http://www.asparklyhanger.blogspot.ro/
I’d already seen Tommy Ton’s versions of you, but didn’t recognise you in all of your guises, which i should have, since they are all so very Style Bubble! I do love your creativity and ‘sod other people’s opinion’-attitude towards putting an outfit together, if you’ll pardon my French. That’s what fashion should be all about – not some superficial ‘look at how rich and flashy I am’ agenda.
Thanks for posting these. You are an inspiration. Maybe one day I’ll end up just as courageous 😛
Love the first look, the layering works really well and the texture from the sweater adds that edge to the whole look. Looking lovely 🙂

I was sitting across from you at Karen Walker! You or your doppelganger. I wanted to say hi because I read your blog every single day back in 07-ish, but was severely underdressed and too shy.
Every look of yours is so damn fun and cool!

Susie you are amazing. Please never stop.
What a fantastic outfit. I really love most the blue short and red shoes; looks stylistic and utterly gives out an embodiment of aptness and excellence. I think it sounds a great contentment to take pleasure in day-by-day weather in New York! I love that and would like to cheer you more in your trend anthology; it’s really inspiring and valid!
Keep up with the spirit, you have got great minds and you are making it big no doubt about it.
This is doing the ordinary extra ordinarily good.Thumbs up.
Love these outfits, so unique and creative! My fave outfit is definitely the 1st one.
That’s really awesome! I never imagine that simple things can make your dress fashionable and eye-catchy. That’s really interesting and unique style. Keep it up!
I love the first and second picture. There is that unique touch in the way she is dressed. Ooh! I just love fashion!
I love the embodiment with which you present your designs. They are unusual and striking. Nice photos, and thumbs up for putting them up!

Love you second ad third outfit :-)))
Like the neon outfit so much! and the houndstooth cap!
I absolutely love seeing your take on style and “trends” – from the way you mix everything up in such a arbritary, yet intelligent, fashion to the way you describe your looks. “Super Mario”-cum-“Noddy” looks for the S/S 2013 catwalks? I definitely think so!
Best Wishes,
Tara
How can you so cute !
