Animal Back

>> I'm keeping it short n' tardy today because of my post norovirus haze but going through my stored up lookbooks, I thought I'd reiterate a point that anybody who fails to be at the very least AMUSED and TICKLED by these Yang Du rucksacks should just stop reading the blog altogether.  No, I mean it.  Be gone.  Even if you can't bring yourself to act da child and wear one of these out in public, then please have the decency to at least see the charm and joy in this growing series of animal rucksacks, which continue to flourish in Yang Du's collections.  Yang Du needs no re-introduction from me especially if you look back at the numerous posts I've done on this forever-child, forever-wild animal knit designer.  She lucked onto a good thing with the bags and wisely keeps producing them for those that don't have the kahunas to don a poncho depicting a gigantic fox's face.  Miss Hippo, one of my favourite out of the lot was on sale on Shop Fatal for a while but I think your best bet of getting some animal love on your back is by contacting Miss Du herself.  That is, if you haven't fallen off your chair in laughing ridicule.  No, I refuse to believe that would be the case.  In my head, myself and every Style Bubble reader would link arms with one another, walking off towards a sunset on a really really REALLY wide boulevard with our backs festooned with Yang Du's creatures.  And we'd all live happily ever after.

  1. That would have to be one really wide boulevard to fit all of your readers and her fans!
These are fantastic! I personally wouldn’t wear one since I am far too much of a stick in the mud–but looking at them brings a smile to my face.
I hope to see you and Miss Hippo next month at NYFW!

P.S.: I have suggested you bubble to many friends worlwide…

  4. These are brilliant! That hippo one is the best. I hesitate to believe that I could pull one of these off, but luckily I have a small child to dress, and there’ no doubt in my mind that I’ll be hunting down a cheaper, child size version for him! x

  8. The owls are for me. . .in all the colors but especially that orange one. Seems like owls are a “thing” right now but I have always loved them. Yang Du’s owls are brilliant, IMHO.

  10. Oh my god! I want them all! The pink owl bag has to be the best. I hope Miss Du comes up with more animal designs. Perhaps a bunny, fox or a pig would be nice.
