Well, there you go, I might as well put my hand up and say ‘I blog, therefore I am’ because from a trip that was supposed to be a ‘break’ from blogging, I have managed to get three posts worth of blogging material from it. Perhaps there lies my crux. So conscious I am of blog-worthy material that my camera automatically appears without my even thinking about it.
So at the Episode vintage store near Waterloopein market, I nearly squealed ‘Snap!’ at all the crazy leggings. At 7 euros each or 2 pairs for 12 euros, these are clearly the cheapest way to relive late 80’s horror prints. I call it horror but somehow, those squiggly lines, random triangles and swirly whirly patterns are looking mighty appealing.
I have never been tempted by printed wellies but when it was bucketing down like it was on Friday where the words ‘drowned’ ‘rat’ come to mind, I was going to hand over 75 euros for a pair of these cuties. Then the silver lining came out. // It’s good to make a memo note to yourself when on holiday and this picture reminds me that I need to order in a whole range of trimmings, fabrics and other bits and bobs because I have many many DIY projects planned (the category of DIY is getting seriously mouldy but fear not as my willpower is finally galvanised!)
These inspiration collages tacked up at a cute vintage store The End (where my friend was hyperventilating after scoring two pairs of boots for 50 euros – unheard of/impossible in London) on Nwe. Hoogstraat 29, serves as a second memo to myself to stick together some collages as ideas in my head seem to get lost and become an incoherent mess.

YESSSS!! i love the DIY, always very inspirational. it’s been a while, don’t leave us hanging now..!
and of course, keep up the great work susie 🙂
Funtastic!
*makes a mental note to take note of these spots when in the ‘dam next month*
sounds like you made the most of your trip… 😀
you always find the best ideas in things i might not look twice at- great account of your holiday! now i’ve got to get myself down to a’dam fast.
I’ve stopped buying clothes, but my money still a way of spending itself. DIY supplies are costing me a pretty penny, but making things makes me happy.
