Your wardrobe and you

I’m kicking myself REALLY hard because I missed this exhibition A Walk in Wardrobe, curated by the Glass-Case collective who study at LCF, that was on at the Ada Gallery in East London from the 14th – 18th March (a real pity that it was on for so few days as well…) because the description just about sums up what I feel clothes have the power to affect a person, and how I try to extend fashion beyond the shallow waters that it often douses in:

This installation-based exhibition explores the power of clothing to act as a memory trigger. The private space of the wardrobe will be explored through sight sound and smell creating a dialogue between the senses their imprint upon garments and the recollection of memory.

Looking at the pictures just makes me kick myself a little harder.
