Haute Hammer Down

Watching a ticking countdown on Prada’s website is quite nerve-racking, especially when you have catwalk prototypes from the AW07-08 collection going up for auction.  Until the 25th July, new items will be added to the Prada website on Monday, Wednesday and Friday to be auctioned off in a 7 day auction.  These are items which won’t ever go into production for retail so for those with big enough money bags, those who have finally been able to figure what Miuccia had in mind for this collection and if you’re a highly-skilled eBay this is pretty much a dream.  Plus, all proceeds go to the Fondazione San Raffaele.

Bewarned though, superstar blogger Bryan Boy is the highest bidder for all three of the items on auction at the moment so if you want to wrestle with the guy who seems to have the mission of owning every designer H.O.T. item on the earth, then go right ahead.  At the current bid price of 300 Euros, I would have tried my luck for the yellow-black gradiated mary janes but I know in my head and heart that it’s pretty much a lost cause.  You might be braver than I am though so go on and watch that clock ticking away…
