Things always look better in a rainbow strip. Actually, there are disastrously grotesque exceptions but the statement definitely applies to these ensembles from Anne Valerie Hash’s latest A/W07-08 haute couture collection. If previously I only wanted to experiment (see my immersion in eletric blue) in the ‘Dipped in Colour’ look that both DJM and I were thinking about, now I want to run out and just chuck one solid juicy colour all over me, down to the tights, shoes and even hats and gloves all in a shade of colour as close a tonal and hue match as possible. In particular, I quite like how darker, duller shades of colours have been used for Anne Valerie Hash’s dipping pleasure – burgandy, forest green, teal-y blue and my favourite shade of yellow and also condiment…mustard. How is it that for some reason, this trend is turning out to be ‘delicious’ sounding?

OMG the burgundy and the teal!!! Yum! I HAVE to get me some coloured shoes. I really do need to try this.
Speaking of mustard yellow, I noticed that Julia Clancy has a few pieces part of her a/w07 collection that are worth a gander. Ireally like how she took this not so feminine color and made it very lady like.
Love these colours!
i love playing with color… often i go through color obsessions… right now it’s pink. dang.
This look is so fresh. I’m really tempted to go all out in royal blue now.To answer your question… everybody has either been wearing all black or patterns lately. All out, everything-must-match outfits have been considered outdated for a bit. It’s time for a comeback.
After a million and a half seasons of black, all colour is refreshing. These are really elegant and eye-catching. I like the forest greeen.. and how it doesn’t even look a little bit elfy. Certainly an achievement.
wow, this is so striking(it kind of feels like it could have been a prada look, miuccia seems to use satin alot….)! i need to get more tights….all navy sounds really good to me…
Woow, this is perfect! The shimmery garments make it look so exquisite and … fine. It’s gonna be my a/w 07 trend.
love the total-colour-look, specially yhe blue and the yellow
