These illustrations remind me of the Henry Darger work. He’s an American folk artist who’s work is featured at the American Folk Art Museum in NYC. Hope you had a chance to visit some of our museums while you were here.

Hahaha! I also received this yesterday and also put it up on my fridge!!! And kept telling my husband how amazing these drawings were (he of course thought they were ‘cute’ but was not as excited as I was, being a boy and stuff).
