Perfect Bomber

rosleather1.jpg

You know I‚Äôm getting the impression that my written drivel bores you to tears so I‚Äôll just cut to the chase this time and say, no, I don‚Äôt know too much about the Danish designer Rosanna Julie only that it was launched in 2005 and she graduated from The Design and Technical Tailoring Academy and the most important above all of that bio spiel is that she has designed the niftiest leather bomber jacket I‚Äôve seen.  Thus I now have set myself to task of acquiring not one but two different but very much essential leather jackets, as I have yet to delve into the ‚ÄòSave-Up-For-Ages-Not-Succumbing-to-Cheap-Crap‚Äô leather jacket territory.  So first the Jean Pierre Braganza beauty that I touched and felt its awesomeness and then this Rosanna Julie creation with its sleeve strap detailing, zippers up the shoulders that solve the problem of hidden pretty outfits under jackets as you can expose part of it with the zippers, and nipped-shape that gives a peplum effect.  Yes yes yes, Julie also seems to have some lovely shirt dresses in her AW08 collection but really…. all is eclipsed by THE jacket.  Or should I say, THE OTHER jacket?  Me thinks someone needs to halt the leather jacket greed…

  1. I like your “written drivel,” and I hope you won’t stop doing it.
I like the photos, too, and in this case, the photos make me want both of those jackets!

  2. I love those two jackets! they’re amazing. and i really like the photos, too. it’s giving me some inspiration 😉

  3. Oh, I groped the Jean Pierre Braganza leather jacket too – you were going to buy it, did you ever get it? He only made one apparently.

  4. Oh, those are excellent! What a clever spin on the jacket — very cool with those gauzy dresses. I’ve been looking for a small bomber-style leather jacket, because the leather jacket I do have is a blazer-style, and I don’t want to be overwhelmed by a huge leather jacket, either… but so is everyone else on eBay!

  5. Gorgeous, all of it- though that fourth dress looks a bit like it’s going to fall down, I like the idea of split-sleeved jackets (and a clever zipper means you can close them up too…nice).

  6. OMG. Where can I buy this? How much are her designs? Utterly amazing.

  7. The leather jacket lust is an illness. I have it as well. There is no cure. Each time you see the Ultimate, Perfect leather jacket, it’s just an illusion! There will be another one, even more Ultimate. I now have 7, including on by SWORD from blaec.com. It is buttery soft and fits true to size.
    But it never ends.

  8. That is a vintage jacket brought out again I think, if she claims to have designed herself shes lying: thats a vintage jacket, i have one with a 1972 label in it(ive posted it on my blog btw)
plese correct me if im wrong if this is a common cut for bombers
