Sometimes it makes me feel quite small and insignificant when other bloggers are doing super WOWEE things outside of their blogs and all I do is…erm…publish posts…. Claire from Enchant and Doom is first and foremost a stylist but also a blogger that brings my attention to very ‘enchanting’ things. Her latest styling project though is really quite spectacular as she has styled Roisin Murphy’s latest video for the single ‘You Know Me Better (out May 31st). Really, I can’t think what is not to like. On top of the fact that Roisin Murphy can just about pull off everything she wears and that’s not just flimsy statement that I’m using for the sake of Roisin Murphy’s often fashion-challenging choices…. Claire’s choices combine a mix of pastel shaded vintage, Balenciaga, Miu Miu, Louis Vuitton and a variety of neck ruffs including pastel ones from a label called Wowow that are stocked at No-One (Must. Go. And. Try. On. Neck. Ruff.) and a black and white one by Poltock and Walsh.
Seriously. Neck ruffs. Pastels. Bows. Ruffles. Puffiness. What is not to like?
(Actually, perhaps quite a lot of people have aversions to the things above…. but combined together hitting at you all at once, even the naysayers must admit that the effect is somewhat charming…)
I am totally in love with this video!!!! I love all of the looks, but I’m especially loving the last black/white (or is it pink?) neck ruff!! Might have to think of a way to recreate that look (and how to get away with it)!!!
love the styling video! i feel quite the same, i feel pretty insignificant as i haven’t done anything amazing in the fashion industry yet. hopefully someday soon i can fill my blog with my accomplishments in the fahsion industry
xoxo
i’ve gooooot to try bright yellow with lavender, this video just enforces how good they would be together!
Susie I am blushing, literally. And you do far more than just “publish posts”. As the most prolific fashion blogger on the internet, you inspire and inform us all daily, and you do it with an energy and enthusiasm I could only dream of possessing. I’m so glad you like the video, I am surprized and flattered that you posted it on here.

This is beautiful.
Sublime! This is one of the best ‘fashion forward’ video clips I’ve seen in years. You could pull a selection of frames from this video and they wouldn’t look out of place in Italian Vogue.
Susie, if you are looking for a great and workable Ruff piece, check out http://kategilbert.com/ms_elizabeth.html
Although I am not a knitter, I got my darling mum to knock me up one of these. Instant WOW!
Thanks so much for the link too. 🙂
Lol “Sometimes it makes me feel quite small and insignificant when other bloggers are doing super WOWEE things outside of their blogs and all I do is…erm…publish posts…. ” exactly!
But don’t worry, i think you’re already doing very well plus awesome blog=)
You do an amazing blog susie!!!
I saw claire´s work and it look just perfect!!!
I love Roisin Murphy, love her look, love her music, love what she stands for. Even if I’m walking along listening to one of her albums, I feel…empowered. Yes, its so corny but it really is true. She doesn’t give a fuck and I love that attitude 🙂
By the way, had the chance to see her last year on my birthday and she was phenomenal. Black trousers, white t-shirt. 40 thousand accesories and props for every different song meant she was amaaaazing to watch.
The video reminds me of a Juicy Couture ad, which I actually really enjoyed with the overdone prettiness of easter eggs.
Errrm, actually, Susie, I made a horrible mistake. The designer who made the ruffs for No-one is actually called KaPowWow. I am a BAD stylist, this is exactly why I need an assistant keeping an eye on me at ALL TIMES.
