Wood Nymphs get Accessorised

Yazcout Yazbukey has been getting a lot of press lately for their funnier-than-Tatty-Devine SS08 acrylic jewellery from their RTW collection ‘My Heart Belongs To…’ which Kabiri have an exclusive stock of (the ‘Marilyn necklace’ is particularly charming…).  However, upon further investigation, I’ve discovered Yazbukey have launched a couture collection called ‘Whispers from a Tree’ which is inspired by the woods and fairies at night.  With my love for knotting and shiny things, gems scattered haphazardly over coils of rope by Yaz and Emel means I can further indulge in my collection of nymph-like diaphanous long dress (I’m up to three but hopefully a hunt in The Shop on Cheshire Street will up that count…).

Yazbukey’s fairytale indulgences would look perfect on these wood nymphs who danced with Charlie Chaplin in his dream in the film ‘Sunnyside’

  1. Hi Susie
Just discovered your blog last week but have since been devouring posts at the speed of light (am currently back in June 06 methinks 🙂 I’m not the adventurous type myself (more classic-y, I blame the profession) but thanks to you I will try a little more fashion-forwardness (silver tights on Thursday, woo-hoo) (but worn with dark grey 60’s style dress and black Mary Janes so very small gesture towards adventuresome side)- as you say, wee baby steps at a time 🙂
P.S. As to your nickel-allergy problem, if you take the piece (e.g. your bright blue dancing figures bracelet) to a good jewellery stall at craft markets they can replace the findings with sterling silver (for a fee, unfortunately :9 ) – I have a brilliant jeweller in my local market who does this 🙂
