So I really should not be lusting after or chatting up bags especially with my track record of indifference/lack of knowledge when talking about bags. However at a press preview last night, Lara Bohinc‚Äôs AW08-9 collection had me at the description ‚ÄòDelicate metal cut-out work over shiny patent leather‚Äô. Especially since she has also introduced a colour which they call ‚Äòsmokey grey‚Äô but I knowit better as GRURPLE. Yes, the return of grurple after nearly 2 years of posting about that slightly odd shade that veers between grey and purple. Of course it does seem a bit of a shame that I have to attribute these beautiful bags with a colour that sounds a bit like you‚Äôre gulping and throwing up all at the same time but grurple it is…
Another new shade to the mix is this blackened gold that Lara has introduced to her jewellery. The weight of the stuff is quite impressive and whilst I haven‚Äôt upgraded myself to fine jewellery buying (me thinks a flat deposit takes priority…), Lara Bohinc would be the first port of call for jewellery that means business but doesn‚Äôt scream ‚ÄòLook how much dough I have!‚Äô.

Love her jewelry. Always have. Esp. that cuff but I’ve always felt her bags were really overpriced for what they were. I like the metal work and some of the braiding she does, but none of it seems to be worth the prices she’s charging. I think her pricing for her jewelry is fair though.

Grurple! I actually got into an argument with the boyfriend over some grurple-colored yarn I bought. He said purple, I said dove grey. I don’t think we actually came to a conclusion, but “grurple” sounds like a compromise.

I’ve been obsessed with the color ‘grurple’ for the longest time (I have ‘grurple’ nails at the moment). The thought of ‘grurple’ patent leather is making my heart flutter! Another item added to my wish list, I guess.
