SATC movie premiering in London blah blah blah a gazillion designers featured in the film yadda yadda yadda… frankly I’m thinking my big fashion film fix is going to be in the form of the new film version of Brideshead Revisited by Julian Jarrold. It’s a book that seriously cannot be cocked up (yes big Evelyn Waugh obsessive here…) and the first few stills are already looking very sumptuous indeed…

And I had no idea about this new Brideshead Revisited film! It looks so lovely. Even though I wish Sebastian had lighter hair.

Did you ever see the original TV series? Jeremony Irons has been my crush after that for a while..
I am looking forward to seeing this much more than the SATC movie…I don’t even think I’ll go to the theatre for the latter.

I loved, loved the tv original series – especially the music. But I’m also really excited for this new version. I can’t wait!!!
I’m just reading this for the first time right now, about halfway through and it’s already one of my favourite books ever…
First thing I’m going to do after I’m done is rent the miniseries, and I can’t wait for this film version, especially now I’ve seen these stills!
I’m not sure they’ll be able to beat the 1981 version…
Sebastian isn’t quite how I picture him, but at least Aloysius remains…
And Hayley Atwell is gorgeous as Julia. I love her dress, too (apparently the producers told her to lose weight for the part, and Emma Thompson threatened to pull out when she learned of it.)

I’ve got to agree that this is much more exciting than SATC, I subscribe to your blog and when I got this post in my inbox, I was very excited to see such lovely pics. The cast seems right on (Ben Whishaw is delish!) and the clothes are gorgeous; Hayley Atwell’s dress is sublime. I might have to get the old Brideshead Rev. just to get a quick fix!
The production values look phenomenal. But I just watched the trailer, and the emphasis of the film seems to be very different from the book. Hopefully this’ll be one of those cases in which the trailer is misleading!

I think my best fashion fix in films will always be Godard and Wong Kar Wai back when he was still doing his films in Asia.
