(Peter Jensen cardi, Lanvin bag and flats, Christopher Kane cardi, Barbara Hulanicki for Topshop body, Jean Michel Cazabat flats, Fendi scarf)
I'm a woman posessed with leopard eyes at the moment. In a gradual year long period, I've gone from tentatively wearing leopard print tights to forthrightly declaring my LOVE for the stuff on the condition that it's bright, garish, a bit pronounced/cartoon-like, pop-coloured and not resembling an actual leopard. I must say, the tide of change did probably begin when that sweeping coloured leopard print finale at the Lanvin S/S 09 show nearly made me stand up and give Alber a standing ovation (I think Alex from SHOWstudio DID go the whole hog and stand up…). Ever since then, it's been a case of being drawn to leopard print that adheres to the criteria above… meaning a lot of stroking in Dover Street Market of Christopher Kane's cardi, very nearly fisting over the money for the Peter Jensen Chanel-esque jacket that's been featured all over the place and finding my own cheap alternatives…
(APC black raincape, vintage pink t-shirt, Nikicio dip dye belt, ASOS pink leopard print skirt, Costume Dept leggings, House of Holland pink tights, Sam Edelman boots)
The clothing equivalent of a "I'm so happy I found you leopard" sentiment has also manifested in this Markus Lupfer for Topshop jumper that will be in stores in July. Snap the jumper up and I might have reconciled the differences between me and leopard print and we will run away together happily towards a sunset…
You should be a stylist Susie, this is fantastic…I love the leopard print brights, and temed with a purple belt? Who would have guessed it would work so well.
I can totally relate. The coloured leopard print suits you too, so there you go. Marcus Lupfner for TopShop was such a good idea 🙂 Maybe its time for another visit over the pond..

Love this! I have pink leopard print tights really similar to those…but I’m always so afraid to wear them, but this post is definitely inspiring me to dig them out of my closet.

Arrgh! I hate leopard! =P
Ahah Susie, you almost made me have a stroke!

Thank you for your comment and thank you so so much for telling me! It actually sounded quite strange but I saw it on several blogs/sites so I just posted it!

Love the outfit you put together.
Also, I always claim that everyone should have a little bit of leopard print in their wardrobes…coloured or not.
p.s. topshop scares the crap out of me..how the hell am I supposed to find stuff???!! I guess I need to practice…have friends going over who have offered to buy me topshop goodies…but can’t see anything decent. I must be blind…I ALWAYS see stuff I like from there on blogs!
okay, besides the rant, leopard print = aces!
I typically prefer leopard in browns and blacks, but this mash-up of pinks is SUCH fun.
I absoulotly love that pink skirt! I don’t usaully sway from grey/actually brown, cream,w/e colour it is… leopard prints, but i’m definatly going to go looking for brighter colours now! That Topshop jumper, i love! I want!
Once againnn, great outfit! I really wouldn’t have thought the purple belt would work with the leopard, but it does brilliantly!
You are great! I love your outfit!!
I’ve been eyeing these Alife shoes that aren’t exactly leopard print but would go with any of the things in your collage up there …

If anyone’s a 7.5 US women’s, you should nab these … not only are they are a new pair of shoes for $20, it’s for the charity Housing Works, so you can feel totally guilt-free about it too! Just saying …
I love the Lanvin pieces…of course I would love the most expensive pieces featured! Miss susie, I must say I absolutely adore your ensemble…so color and fun…esp your boots and that Nikicio belt! Im in love with the Lupher jumper…I may end up getting that one.
Love your blog deary I know I’ve probably said that a million times but I do so yeah see you next post love!
Hey!
I don’t know if you’ve already seen this, but i stumbled upon it and immediately thought of you.

Phwoar – work it! Pop (age 3) and I have matching neon leopard print ensembles (thus reconciling me + neon).
that markus lupfer jumper is rad!
i love the lanvin flats and that markus lupfer sweater (:
beautiful !
Love the boots!
I’ve gradually started adding more leopard print into my closet, too, but to a MUCH smaller degree than you! I think it’s amazing that you can wear such bold pieces and still look so great. Very few people can do that!
yes, yes, yes!!!! Welcome to the wild side!
I used to hate leopard print with a burning passion but I have no idea how I could have. I love this outfit and I am so jealous of the APC raincape! I love Lanvin just as much as the next girl and probably no more, though I have to say I think that Lanvin did pretty much the best leopard this season. 🙂
Love this outfit! Leopard is my weakness!
Super love your whole look, especially the leopard print being fuschia.
PS I also love pink and orange together
In a strange twist of fate I read this post right before going fabric shopping, and of course what did I find but two great leopard printed/abstract-y fabrics (one grey/silvery combo, one fuschia/black burnout jersey, kind of crazy) We’ll see what happens, I’ll let you know if anything interesting comes from it 🙂
🙂 so know the feeling… i’ve started to rathr love it lately. that toshop top is rather cute and i love love love the kane cardie. sigh.
