Melt For Later

What the crap is up with me and my weather inappropriate-ness…yesterday I was sweltering in tights and today, I present to you an ensemble that could crank up most people's sweat glands just looking at it.  Still, I'm not thinking of the present sweaty days but er…future days when I'll have some talc on the go for this latex/pvc-effect (? can't be sure on the exact material make-up…) on these harem/drop-crotch trousers with exaggerated hips and nude top from River Island's Graduate Fashion Week collection.  I was none the wiser to the fact that the students who have passed through GFW in recent years are all at River Island squirelling away designing and this collection is supposed to reflect that, with all the pieces being designd by past Graduate Fashion week students.  These will be going on sale in store when GFW is happening…

Looking forward to those days when I don't mind looking like a human oil slick as opposed to melting into one like I am now in the office…

Other goodies worth a look-in is the big, black and chunk chunky jewellery, this white structured dress for people who can wear white dresses without too much dirt distraction…

…more harem goodness in these silver sequin ones that are rightly heavy with the volume (I'm not liking the half-ass harem trew…) and the neon and silver triangular cut-out shoes…

  1. Those harem pants are beautiful, and I kinda think I like them more with a fabric like that than a looser/flowy fabric. I can’t wait to see all of the GFW collections!

  2. I agree that these are really cool and awesome dresses. But your posting is a little ahead of time as these would be more suitable for the chilly winter months. ๐Ÿ˜€

  3. I don’t know about the sarouel’esq leathers…or anything remotely linked to River Island, but I’ll happily engage with the model…

  4. I have been resisting all harem-type trousers and their ilk very successfully, so why am I so drawn to those silver harems? I love them!

  5. Am I the only one who thinks River Island’s things are really really glittery and shiny?
    ….does anyone else think so?
    The shoes aren’t half bad…

  6. Still unsure if I can pull off the harem pants thing. There are some cheap-ish ones at Urban that I might try out – or maybe I’ll hold out for a super cheap Forever21 version.

  7. The third ensemble is what MIA would wear if she hung out with Susie Bubble, aka pure awesomeness.

  8. stunning..
but between middleschool art projects and the school cafeteria I dont think that dress would survive one day at my schoolo (not to mention the dress code!)…

  9. Hey! Just so you know, I briefly talked about your blog on my blog because I figured since your blog is so cool it would give my blog some extra, much needed cool factor.
    Thank you xo
(yes that sentence was really fun to type, I’m too scared to reread it though..)

  10. wow, was going to insist that the first look was my favourite but I cannot do that. Every look calls out to me. And I would wear every single damn thing. Love it all!
p.s. you inspired me to buy a pair of sheer trousers, I’ve been silently observing your love of all trews sheer and have picked up a pair myself. Cannot wait to play with them, and create some kicking outfits!
    have a lovely week ๐Ÿ™‚

  11. Bought a red flower puffy skirt from River Islandยฌยฅs Graduatfe Fashion Week collection. I love it.

  12. Matching the crazy silver harem pants with a t shirt and a rolled up casual jacket is a brilliant way of making something so beautifully obscure actually wearable.

  13. These outfits are awesome – especially the harem pants on the 1st one and the shoes on the last picture!

  14. Like the first outfit.
Are they realy selling this at River Island from next week? Cannot belive this.

  15. i love this susie! everything is really well designed…im in love with the white dress and neon shoes!
