>> I have to apologise very quickly here as I have precisely two minutes to type this.  So the Luella mega sample sale actually started yesterday at 4pm and a lot of people queuing had some sort of print out.  Sorry if I didn't communicate this on the post yesterday but the general flyer for some reason only had today's date on it.  I dropped by out of curiosity when I was out doing an interview and couldn't resist even though I really had meant to go today.  Hot, sweltering queues had formed as they were operating a one-in-one out system.  The crux of it is…. GET YE DOWN THERE… I'll keep it brief – bags range from ¬£30-¬£250 and a decent sized leather bag will cost you ¬£75.  The S/S 09 collection in all its purple, pink and orange glory is priced at ¬£100 for a dress.  It's incredible that they're selling current stock for that such a small amount of money.  Small trinkets, tees etc are about ¬£15 (no headbands I'm afraid, Selina…) and there's plenty of clothes from past seasons to trawl through… catwalk and factory samples too so there are some pretty unique pieces there.

It has started as we speak… GET YE DOWN THERE…bring a bottle of water for the queue and good luck.

I didn't buy a huge amount as I was being quite picky… but one of the coups are these S/S 08 Dr. Marten-type chunky heels used in the show…

  11. Hello yellow! I’m really bummed that we don’t have anything cool like that around here. On the good side, we do have a store that sells organic face care and hair care dirt cheap. They have tons of it, because apparently the majority of people around here who smoke generic cigarettes and drink cheap beer aren’t into it.

  17. ah last night i was crying into my hair bow (well kind of..) but after reading this i’m glad the sale was so good! looking forward to seeing your other buys, your shoes remind me of the neon chloe docs that rumi and lulu have but in a more quirky way- definitely luella!

  18. Aaaaaah I want to swear an awful lot, £60 bags? My jealously cannot be expressed with words; I had to go to work and make do with the Topshop sale instead.

  23. Ah AMAZING BOOTS! It was indeed pretty amazing… I only had about 20 or so minutes in there, but I scored an absolutely beautiful everyday use bag (need something to replace my Maptote that’s getting decidedly grimy ;-D). Almost went for a more out there bag but practicality and time pressures won. By this morning most of the sizes up in ready to wear were tiny methinks tho I did try on a gorgeous grey tailcoat that was lovely but didn’t suit someone with breasts lol. Great great sale tho, so thanks for the heads up! Xxxc

  27. I love those shoes! The yellow is SO phantasmagorically fetching, and are they those oh-so-rare shoes that have high heels but are actually insanely comfortable?
    I hate me for not checking your blog sooner. I need Luella and eBay doesn’t have enough!
