You didn't think deets would go amiss when there are about thirteen shows a day and too many snaps on the camera to upload?  I'm glad to report that there are deets galore here at RAFW so I've probably harrassed a lot of people backstage at shows going "Stop!  In the name of bloggerdom!  Don't pack that shoe/ring/top away yet!"  Hah!  Bloggerdom… if only there was some sort of legitimising badge as opposed to the awkward shuffled intro that goes something like… "Errr… well I have this blog… and errr… it's kind of a like a website.. errr…. can I take a photo?"

Word up about the OTHER tourist shot above.  I can't get over how the venue here at the Overseas Passenger terminal overlooks this beaut of a building.  I glimpse at it every now and again to re-invigorate me.  That sounds terribly trite but it really is like Red Bull encapsulated into a skyline!

Yesterday began with Ginger and Smart where there were textures and prints a-plenty.. I particularly liked the folds that went in two directions in this top and skirt…

… and this laser-cut layered skirt that look like puzzle indentations…

Lucette made its RAFW debut with a lot of shine and also took leather harnesses to a massively embellished level…

Tristan Blair provided these 'chair leg' heels…

Carly Hunter got me all dotty over her all-over chiffon embroidered dots…

Blogger Little Blackbook had quite literally the money shot with her Romance was Born dollar bill bow…

Found it quite funny that Urban Outfitters US set up a stand at the MCA showrooms here at RAFW purely to promote the fact that they now ship to Australia with this box installation.  They're running free shipping to Aus for a month too…

Been meaning to talk up Australian label Beau Coops shoes for a while and I think these rock candy striped wedges are from their last collection…

_DSC1345

I loved these knits at Bassike which err….aren't so basic at all…

Bec and Bridge has given birth to the term 'fabric bum pinching'…

_DSC1373

Dust and sand was mingling too….

Can't quite get over these rings at Bec & Bridge that were made for the show by Dinosaur Designs

_DSC1383

…actually all the pastel Flintstone jewellery worked well in the show…

I'm contemplating whether I could work with orange croc-effect leather (pleather?) shown here at Stolen Girlfriend's Club

Oh, and not to sound like a 'bligger' but I'm quite impressed with the goody bag content that have resulted in a pair of sunnies that aren't falling apart (my round vintage ones are going screwless…) and a gold version of those rock formation rings from Bec & Bridge…

  2. I am really hard to tell which pieces are the most ones I like. I love all of them. The shoes and rings. Also, the leggings.

  6. I got an art award last year made by Dinosaur Designs. Its a trophy that looks like a giant resin ash tray.

  7. Wow jewellery and not-completely tacky sunglasses are definitely good goodie-bag swag! I see Vitamin Water has hit the RAFW runways big time… Didn’t see much of it at last LFW, I guess they are done with advertising here 🙂
