Miss Piggy’s (of The Muppets fame), modelling career is going from strength to strength. Forgot new faces like Heather Bratton and Felicity Gilbert! Miss Piggy not only has conquered edgy high fashion editorials Pop! she has now taken London by storm by modelling in the windows of Selfridges to coincide with the Future Punk season I mentioned. Of course Miss Piggy’s schedule is too busy to fit in six weeks of posing in a window – it is of course a very convincing stunt double wearing a Miu Miu dress and matching heels. Miss Piggy:
‘Believe moi, I would love to spend six weeks in Selfridges! But if I’m going to be there, I wanna be shopping, not standing in the window, sweetie!’
I could not agree with Miss Piggy more! Here she is wearing the very cute star dress as modelled by Jessica Stam on the spring summer catwalks.
Gosh, I wish I could pull off a bouffant hairstyle like that – that really does take some panache so, Miss Piggy – I salute you!
Of course Miss Piggy is no stranger to the fashion world. Her POP! magazine debut has put her firmly on the fashion map and now she is frequent catwalk front row fashionista. Her longevity has proved to be unflappable in the fickle world of Hollywood and I think it’s safe to say that this 70’s style icon is going to be around for a very long time!
