David Downtown, Europe’s leading fashion illustrator will be presenting a retrospective of his work at the London College of Fashion which will include all his Paris Couture Show coverage and previously unseen drawings of women like Erin O’Connor and Linda Evangelista. This is really fashion illustration at its most elegant and purist level, which even I have a reverance for (as well as loving the quirky and cute!).
I will be hopping along to the exhibition when it opens on the 25th April (ends May 18). You have no excuse if you are in London because the exhibition is also gratis! Here are some great taster examples (just in case they have a no-photo policy!)
