I am relatively new to the blogging scene but I have been devouring blogs for yonks. It is mind boggling-ly crazy how many fashion/style blogs there are now compared to when I was reading the odd one or two. Therefore, I am pleased to say that longtime fashion blogger and now impending fashion journalist Julie Fredrickson and Philip Leif have come up with what I would call an online fashion one stop drop – Coutorture. It basically brings together a majority of the style blogs out there and features their content on the site whilst also allowing people to leave comments on Coutorture as you would if you were on the blog itself. As well as aiming to be a convenient online source of fashion news and commentary, it also aims to develop itself as a community, encouraging active participation. The site has now been officially launched and you should all be hearing a lot of buzz about it since it’s got big plans PR-wise and all sorts of nifty things should be happening on the site fairly soon. No, I’m not just writing this because i’m a partner on the site (false PR is something I really really loathe….) but I am genuinely excited about such a large-scale online fashion community, something very fresh and ideal now that the style blogosphere is expanding every day to accomodate fashion freaks like me.
