Simple Madras

Right, just for the record, I’m not ACTUALLY obsessed with French label A.P.C. even though I have now blogged about them three times but I just had to share this year’s Madras collection, the second year in running that A.P.C. have collaborated with one of my favourite LFW designers, Jessica Ogden.  It’s got that simple hippie thing going on which is just about 1000 times better that hippie hippie!

  1. Ooh, this collection is super-cute! Do you know if it’s only available online or are there any london stockists? I love the checked top. Thanks!

  2. I know Aime on Ledbury Road and Selfridges and Liberty stock A.P.C. but I don’t know about the Madras collection. I find it’s actually cheaper to buy it online anyway because they mark up A.P.C. prices in London and all the cute styles are never in stock!

  3. cool, thanks Susie. I work just round the corner from Selfridges so will check it out tomorrow and then buy online – good plan!
    great blog by the way.

  4. They’re not something that I would wear myself – but if you were a little scared off by Nike’s flashy designs this would be a good alternative. They’re both minimalist and modern. However, I like my trainers a bit retro looking and bit scuffed up and these A.P.C. ones don’t look the scruffing up type of shoes.
At the same time though, I can’t shake the feeling that A.P.C. spent minimal effort on the design – or maybe it’s starkness is it’s distinctiveness. I dunno….

  5. i like the shape of the apc/nike sneakers. the collaboration of the 2 companies confuses me. i understant yohji and adidas, and some of those other pairings. i just feel like it is a value clash with apc/nike npn-sweatshop/sweatshop thing. they are a nice cross between the original nike air force ones and converse. but what is “purist” in all these things- air force ones/apc/converse seems to be lost on this shoe.
oh my god- am i a sneaker freaker? too many details… agh!
