I always think Sunday is brilliant for book browsing. This morning, after brunch, I strolled along to Shipley’s (THE best art bookstore in London!) and spent an age poring over this retrospective of Louise Dahl-Wolfe. One of the most influential fashion photographers of the 20th century, her work spanned the 30’s to the 60’s. Her partnership with art direector Alexei Brodovitch for Harper’s Bazaar was particularly notable. She very much pioneered the use of natural light in photography and shooting on location. She influenced later photographers such as Richard Avedon and Irving Penn. The book is just packed full of elegant, beautiful images and is just a joy to flick through. Pity, I’m saving up my quid this month (Antwerp in 3 days!!), but I’ll be sure to pick it up next month.

I just want to tell you how much I look forward to reading you blog. I absoutlutely love it and all your inspiring entries. Even if fashionologie.com starts up again stylebubble is definately my favourite blogspot now. Don’t EVER stop writing it’ll break my heart!
