So true! My friend is Finnish and there are so many Marimekko things in his parents’ house; it definitely makes the house look more inviting.
Luckily, I live in Northern California and the flower that the print is based on is the state flower – the California poppy! It’s pretty common around here and they all look very happy in the spring and summer. I don’t know if it occurs naturally around here though or if it’s just our tax dollars at work for the copious amounts of public landscaping.
