After getting brogue-happy, I was coming over all eagle eye for brogues which proved harder than I thought. I did nearly fork out £120 for the Toast brogues in that picture but I may hold out for them if they go on sale. In the meantime, I went into Topshop looking for ballet flats and came out with these white patent brogues. They’re not picture perfect but at £28, I’m not complaining. They come in a really lush deep olive too. They were also my essential comfy walking shoes in Antwerp (I reckon I covered around 15 miles of walking whilst I was there!) so they’re already a little scuffed. I never realised how well brogues could match with so many outfits as I thought I’d have to create distinctly masculine outfits to go with. In actual fact, I wore them with practically everything and they kind of added a nice contrasting touch.
Who else here is with Brogues United then?
yesss. i love brogues. they had some adorable turquoise ones from buddhahood at opening ceremony but unfortunately they weren’t my size. did they have any other colors at topshop? like a matte black?
i am also well into ghillies right now.
^ sorry that was me…i often forget to put my name in.

these are thrifted but i’m not satiated yet. i need more.
they seem to look like the “gainsbourg” repetto’s one. but with this picture I can’t really tell….
are they very similar?
if so, that would be a very interesting bargain!
I love brouges. The last iD feature a fashionshoot where they’re matched with everything… So cool.
Cachou: They’re not nearly as nice as the Repetto ones! I can’t find the Gainsbourg shoes here in London!
Sarah: I love your ones – the punch hole detail is just so 1920’s dapper-ish.
ohh Brogues *drool*
I can never find any where are yours from

I’m new here. And it seems like a great forum.
I just wanted to give a friendly “how’s it going” to all of you here.
