Grey Is the Way

So, since not a lot of people here seem to be so keen on gold, I’d thought I do a similar thing with grey to see how everyone feels about the colour that literally EVERYONE will be wearing this season.  It’s a pretty unoffensive colour and for me, it’s pretty much my staple colour in my wardrobe.  But this season sees grey get a lot more interesting and varied in the form it takes.  So it’s good to see what sort of grey direction, the stores are taking us, even in this early stage of fall shopping.  I may already have about 100 things in grey, but it doesn’t hurt to augment my grey wardrobe with some more grey loveliness.

  1. i admire those who can wear grey in an interesting way, but personaly its one of the few colours i never touch. (the others are brown, aqua, hot pink and beige)I just find it so dull in the shop that i’d never buy anything grey for myself.

    I recently went shopping and realized that only two things were not grey…and one was-as you named so well- ‘grurple’.
    I think it compliments-basically-all skin tones…

  4. I LOVE grey. Not only does it always just reek of sophistication, it really makes the color in your face stand out. Lately, though, I’ve noticed that not only am I buying grey, I’m buying more colors that are faded and grey-ish. I don’t let clothes get dirty, but I often find that colors that look coated in dust are just gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous.

  8. My love affair with Grey will surely never burn out! As I mentioned on your grurple post, I looooove grey, and all grey-mixes. I think it’s more sophisticated a colour than black (Although black with grey…. :), and while I’m a bit of a brown-wearer, I like grey so much more.
    I really can’t wait for all the Autumn / Winter stock to hit the stores, so I can stock up on grey variations. I’m getting really annoyed that they’re so slow with getting rid of the Summer stuff! Hurry up shops!
    Speaking of shops.. I put in my order with Sock Dreams a few days ago, and I’m aching for my over the knee socks to arrive.. two of which are grey! (I went a bit mad with the ordering and the spending, and couldn’t resist the prada-esque socks in charcoal 😀 ). So ah.. my bank account doesn’t thank you, but *I* do! :))))

  11. I agree grey is now one of my favourite colours , the love affair started with a simple zip up hoodie from H+M ages ago haha.

    i think grey is such a comforting color, but still has a dressy side to it, making it perfect for any occasion. i’m always drawn to greyd-out colors too, especially slate blue.

  16. Grey is my favourite color since I can remember, it’s so so so very good to be able to buy everything in this color now!
