I have to admit, after seeing the film Marie Antoinette, I really did feel like diving into a great pool of excess. For example, buying a large box of Laduree macaroons and eating them whilst taking a rose petal filled bath. The fashion equivalent I think would be these gloves. Made by traditional British glovemaker, Cornelia James, they can be ordered at any length you wish in a huge range of colours if you call them up. The little ribbons running up the arms is really too sweet. If you really wanted to ‘do’ a Marie Antoinette, you could ring them up and demand a box of 20. Me personally? I’ll stick to the one pair and wear them with short sleeved wool sweaters and long dresses, or over a sleek black turtleneck and skinny trousers.

How did you already get to see it!?
After the Cannes premiere, it came out in France and Belgium immediately so I was in Belgium at the time and saw it in June!
