When me and my sister were sorting through our shared wardrobe, we really had to giggle at the number of checked/plaid/tartan shirts we had! The scary thing is, there’s MORE checks that aren’t shown in the picture. A lot of them also came from Hong Kong where every winter, it seems, checks always emerges as a winter staple whereas over here, the check is only just beginning to take off and will probably explode onto the high street in a few months time.
I think after the stripe, checks have got to be the easiest pattern to wear. I especially like putting a checked shirts over or under dressy dresses to up the casual-ness.
It’s definitely interesting to see what one person conceives as a trend is another person’s staple.

That is a lot of plaid :p! I don’t had anything with plaid or checks in my closet. But now I have a dress with a houndstoothprint, and I love it! But I’m still searching for a simple plaid shirt or blouse…
Wow. i always wanted something with check pattern.. ooh i want to go hk!
i really really want to incorporate some checks and plaids into my wardrobe–im thinking flannel shirts, sooo soft
your collection is so impressive!
i got one vintage shirt with check pattern..its material is a bit thick(very warm though >-<) and color is dark green with two little pockets..but the thing is no one wears anything with check pattern here..except for high school girls. keke
This will be big for fall.. I saw a cool shirt at h & m today, but it didn’t look authentic enough, you know? It had that “new” and “manufactured in China” look that didn’t appeal to me at all….
how would you wear plaid though? like what would you wear it with? i have this really cool plaid longsleeve top but i really dont knoe how to wear it!! help! : D!
