You may or may not know that this September since the age of 4, is the first one where I haven’t had to prepare for school. Yes, hard to believe that I’m now officially a grown-up or something to that effect. I get a little misty-eyed when I hear friends talking about doing masters or going into final year because sad as it may sound, I really miss the protective bubble of uni/school. I also miss concocting ‘Back to School’ outfits. The weather in September/October makes it perfect to wear things that are neither extremely flesh-baring or overly covered up. I also used to take pleasure in putting together outfits that mixed preppy, casual elements with smarter things that still felt comfortable and not too dressy for school. Yes, I know, those days are gone for me, but I hope you don’t mind me indulging on some outfits perfect for being late for lectures, sitting in seminars, messing around in the refectory and hanging out at ULU (Oh dear god! UCL I miss you bad!)

Thanks.
Opu.
I like to mix my clothes and create eclectic outfits for back to school, but I never have the guts to actually wear them. I get really weirded out by the stares, and I feel like the only thing people notice about me is the clothes.
“Oh no, that girl cares too much about fashion…she must be stupid and shallow and bitchy!”
Being such a confident, stylish femme, how do you fend off the stereotypes?
Love the outfits! Get a lot of inspiration of it. Today I’m going to school and I don’t know what to wear. But looking at your outfits helps a lot!
I found your blog a few weeks ago via the Teen Vogue article. I’m now absolutely addicted to your witty sense of humor and fresh, fashion forward ideas. Living in the suburbs where most high schoolers are pathetically boring abercrombie clones, my love for fashion is oftently looked down apon and certainly not appreciated. Your blog however, is incredibly inspiring and I can’t thank you enough for keeping it going.

i can totally relate to what sarah said; susie-i love your style and seeing your pix and diy articles is such an inspiration for me! i also live in the suburbs and have been addicted to sylebubble since reading about it in the us teen vouge… we dont get to see much of your style, or anyother than hollister/abercrombie, so your blog is so much fun to read, esp. as i work on making my style tres unique. keep keepin us posted!! muchos amor from the states <3
i got distracted and completely forgot to tell you how much i love the outfit on the right with the blue h+m coat! is there a word for that print? houndstooth?? <3
I’m starting my first year at UCL in a few weeks. Really looking forward to going back to the safety of uni… 9-5 gets so boring. And I can wear jeans again! And colours! Back to no money though, but I’ll have enough time to look for second hand. It’ll be awesome!
the first outfit is completely adorable…unfortunately I can’t really get awa y with dressing like that in high school 🙂
I love your vintage polkadot dress with the ruffled sleeves! its very beautiful.
I love the story from Sofia Sanchez & Mauro Mongiello, & I Love your looks, it’s really funny.
