Asking Acne

acness08os.jpg

Tomorrow, I fly out to Stockholm for a pretty short trip abroad as I return on Wednesday morning.  I’m flying out for the Acne Jeans SS09 show and will be laden with all sorts of Acne Jeans facts/tidbits (and possibly some goodies…) when I return.  More importantly, I’ll be meeting the folks at Acne and demanding WHY they did not put THOSE cage skirts into the shops (or maybe they did and they were only available in Stockholm…)… questions need to be answered, goddamnit!

Naturally, I’ll be wearing my floral cage skirt courtesy of Angie Montreal to really hone in my point.

Acne’s online store may not be yielding any cage skirts but as usual, it is all rippingly covetable stuff…the sort of gear that doesn’t need extra embellishment to do the pieces justice…

  1. Wow, fun trip! I was just in Stockholm in September, and totally fell in love with the city. People were so nice, the food was great, the shops were gorgeous (nevermind the people themselves, you feel like you’re walking around in a blonde haired model convention). I can truly say that Stockholm is one of my favorite cities in the entire world. The Acne store in Sodermalm is really gorgeous and simple, you’ll love it. Have fun, I’m definitely excited to hear the truth behind the cage skirt mystery!

  2. I really really want to go to Sweden so much!
And Acne Jeans is amazing, shame I can’t afford it 🙁

  3. Ahaaa, I kinda like that they inserted what looks like sewing patterns – I am going to Viet Nam in a couple of weeks and guess what I will carry to the tailor XD yay! I hope they will be able to do something decent from those, it is a bit bad that they only added one view – but what more can I ask, right.

  4. ooo can’t wait to hear about the trip! i’ve been looking at flights to stockholm to check out a uni and at odd times they’re so cheap!

  5. oooh cool you’re turning me into a fan too. and it must be worse for me to not have any access to it at all! have a great trip! (:

  6. as awesome as Acne jeans may be… I will never understand why it’s called ACNE!

  7. Wow, Stockholm sounds amazing! The stuff from Acne looks great. Unfortunately I have no money or access to it, so I’m definately planning on looking for Acne inspred clothes while shopping for school clothes this year.

  8. Hohoho…I didn’t even think that some ppl might be thinking I’m trying to pull an ‘Agathe’…you can be assured that I am coming back….
Um: But then when I post about any label, is that not an advert then?
Anyway, if ppl think this trip is on behalf of the blog, it’s not…it’s actually work-related… actually, why am I even explaining myself to a person who is called ‘Um’…. I haven’t a clue…

  9. Ambition to Create Novel Expressions, at least that’s what my jeans says… the sales has hit Oslo and the ACNE jeans shop has 40% off, I’m running down there after work to get myself another pair of Hex!

  10. their stuff is amazing, but a little out of my everyday budget.
im a sucker for a slouchy oversized t-shirt, but i could just get one from the gap men’s section for 4 bucks vs. 130 bucks.

  11. Hi! Just so you know. The cageskirts are not for sale. I saw them in a shop-window at the mainstore in Stockholm, and there was a sign wich said “not for sale”. But maybe if you’re being really nice you can buy it. Good Luck.

  12. I love Acne too. I have those lace-up wedge shoes in black, so if you can get some, we can go out together dressed as twins! Okay? xo

  13. I love love love Acne Jeans! Therefore, I’m very jealous that you get to fly over to see the show. Tell us all about it (like..what goodies you scored and the cage skirt of course).

  14. The girl in the jumsuit looks like shes trying to pose like you susie.

  15. I’ve seen that cage skirt you wrote about in the acne stor in Paris.
