No, necks aren’t physically gigantic but they are supposedly ‘in’ and necklaces need to be ‘statement pieces’ for next season. It’s as if nobody ever donned a necklace before this season which of course is a load of piss. In particular, the Givenchy loaded silver and gold multiple chains isn’t really anything new, except for the brand new price tag which I’m guessing is over ¬£1000 price tag that is attached to the admittedly beautiful neck accoutrement. Still, bloggers like Luxenoir and probably a gaggle of others have the sense to load up on a bunch of their own chains/necklaces for a similar if not better effect than the catwalkies. I say ‘better’ just because piling and layering u your own necklaces means your own motifs can be seen poking out. Personally I’m never going to be one to don ten crucifixes around my neck so instead the plastic diamonds are sticking out. Loading up on necklaces is something that I’ve always tried to do with the junk jewellery I acquire purely because one piece looks a bit random and inconsequential and also the fact that my necklaces are usually cheap eBay bulk buys, means wearing them singularly would just point out that blatant cheapie fact. Therefore I’ve always had to load up my chain necklaces, wearing at least three at once which apparently for the coming months will conjure up nothing but catwalk images from Givenchy AW08-9 when really it’s always been that way due to my unwillingness to spend more than a a tenner on a necklace.
“Halt there! Why is your neck bare? Haven’t you heard? Necks are big!”

Woot! Well, my necklaces are a total statement.. 😉
Love the tangle of multiple necklaces, even if I don’t sport the look often enough. Looks especially amazing against the black.
I’m loving this look but I don’t own enough chunky necklaces to pull it of. Your’s look great together!
I love the whole look! A headwear like a hat will be perfect for me! 🙂
The more necklaces, the merrier!
“O.G.ing.”
I remember when Mr.T came out with mounds of gold necklaces, and was lampooned, along with all the other guys who had that much hardware in the movie “I’m Gonna Git You, Sucka.”
I love it! I think your outfit is way better than the catwalk ones, for real! By the way, I love your “Bubble Tunes.” 🙂
ooohhhh my, i love love love your pants in the first photo.
where what who are they???
ooooh i like i like. i don’t have enough necklaces to do the same and i’m scared i’d keel over from the weight haha but nonetheless… it’s something i’d like to try.
love the yellow and gold.
I see a neat shoe rack =p
The trousers are by Preen….. partly leather…. !

funny you made a post on chain necklaces.
chain necklaces, especially gold has always been my thing so i was pretty psyched when ricardo send a whole bunch down the runway. since i obviously dont have the thousand pound budget so i attempted to make my own gothic pimp necklace haha. i love chains and super statement jewellery. i like your trousers but cant find any around here!

bring it! black & bling it! nice pics. you look great. nice styleez.
I always break my necklaces and then I’m too bored to fix them…that’s bad because I want to actually try this look..
These pix of you are some of the most beautiful you’ve ever posted. Just letting you know, and sending my admiration…
i’ve been piling on necklaces too (or even bracelets/ bangles) because just one item is as you say inconsequential and gets lost in the outfit imo
Your site is really inspiring. Can’t wait to lurk around!
