…apologies for the blogging lapse today… have fallen into my seasonal bit of illness/sluggishness…

This has been making me chuckle… another scanned crunchy old photo from the Lau archives and in the words of my sister Louisa, pictured in the blue sweater at the front…

"Baseball cap, check. oversize sunnies, check. mickey mouse crew neck, check. Born scene, Always scene."

Honestly, her words, not mine…

  3. Aww, you don’t ever have to apologize for lapses in blogging! You’re the champion of regular blogging . . . I don’t know how you do it!
I love the ’80s Lau family photos you post here . . . and I love that you have an Of Montreal song on your playlist! 🙂

  4. I’m loven’ the roof racks (and the car), what’s that you’re holding? Is it a Masters of the Universe drink cup? Get well Bubbles.

  5. Hope you feel better soon. It’s a lovely picture, you both look so cute. I think it’s the castle of Chambord in the background. Right?

  6. Brilliant photo made my day better than Rankin’s reinactment of old photgraphs as this is the genuine article – tres cool. You should have pretended it was your family holiday home! ‘Here we arriving at our summer house.’

  7. Cute picture 🙂 My little brother and I had matching Minnie & Mickey crew necks in the 80s…
Do you recall which castle/chateaux it was?
My dad’s been scanning old slides lately, and I have a scan of Chenonceau in similar faded colours.

  8. Argh! This is too hip to be square. I am coveting the sipper bottle. Stuff the castle behind you. This is in the Loire valley? Or some such?

  9. Yup, it is indeed Chambord…. hehe…. the car was pretty epic…. and I’m holding an R2D2 flask…my sis had one in pink and I had the yellow one….
Sorry for lazy posting… will get back on track soon…
