Crayon Legs

So I took the lids off the coffee cups to take out the House of Holland stripy pantone tights in lilac and blue.  The alphabet and faux-stocking tights seem to be proving the popular choice but like I said, how could I not succumb to the pantone swatch running up my legs.  Monochromatic outfits however prove difficult though with these two particular shades given that I don't have a rainbow shoe selection to choose from.  Nothing to do but to either get as close to the shade as poss as in the case of the Giles dress with the lilac tights…

… or go all complimentary/clashing by throwing in another crayola bright into the mix.  Toothy grins are a pre-requisite when wearing these tights.  No shoe-gazing or glum looks allowed

  1. gorgeous! I like that they are still a little bit sheer instead of totally matte. And those colours really POP! It’s so true, a pout with these on would look ridiculous.

  2. i like the blue more than the lilac but your endearingly awkward pose in the first picture almost wins me over. anywhoo does anyone know the sizing on the hh tights, i think its a one size fits all but im a 5 11 size 12 so does anyone know if they give good stretch?

  3. Very awesome tights and outfits! I had just ordered the black and white colorblock and the infamous alphabet tights a few days ago (it’ll take a while before I get them in the States), but they didn’t have pictures of what the colored ones look like. Thanks for sharing!

  4. those yellow shoes are brill! the color would be perfect for today in vienna – its as gloomy as hell outside. these shoes would brighten up everything walked on

  11. Suse, what’s the quality/comfort level of these? Am tempted, but I’m so cack-handed and tall that I don’t want to shell out if they won’t fit or I’ll end up putting a fingernail through them straight away.

  12. I love this outfit, its incredibly cool, especially the tights!
Great blog by the way, I have bookmarked you!! Look forward to reading more posts.

  13. omgosh I love your outfits! I don’t think I have what it takes to pull of lilac and turquoise tights but I think I’ll buy the black version of those HH tights.

  14. Oh I just love both the outfits!!
I’m a huge Luella fan and that tailcoat is just divine. The Giles dress is a lovely colour and the shoes are fab. The blue frilled jacket is also gorgeous, so fun.
