Sell Sell Sell!

>> I know this is incredibly late notice but I didn't want to give sufficient notice and make it into a bigger thing than what it actually is.  I've cleared out my wardrobe and there's about 50-60 items that need to go go go… vintage, high street, a few designer bits and bobs and I just want to get rid of it all.  I'm sorry that I haven't made the effort to sell it on blog shops or eBay like most friendly bloggers would do for people not in London, but basically it's all a load of old tat and it needs to be sold in the way tat should be sold.

So tomorrow (Sunday 23rd) I'm pitching up with a bedsheet on Brick Lane, with my iPod and my clothes from about 9-10am onwards and everything must go for a fiver.  I might even start yelling out like a veg and fruit stall holder to get rid of it all… don't be scared and say hello if you're passing by.  Buy something if you want.  Or don't.  The people who will buy something probably don't even read this blog given the amount of footfall that street gets on a Sunday…

  1. Hopefully you don’t get a pitch next the folks who only just seem to sell dodgy asian porn or in my past experience a watering can and a ragged tennis ball. I do hope the man who flyers ‘drum n bass, roots and culture’ is there. Highlight of a brick lane lazy day.

  2. Awww, Susie, you would choice just before I get paid to sell your clothes! I go to brick lane most sundays but was gonna avoid it this week as I am totally broke!
    Damn it!
    Love Christina x

  3. curse you fears of being jobless that lead me to stick to living in dublin instead of london. that stall is gonna be jammers, prepare for some fan love.

  4. oh I’ve been noticing that quite a few people have been wanting to get rid of their overflowing closets..Myself included.. Getting rid of stuff feels REALLY good
even though I’m one of those annoying people who gets mad 3-4 years later wondering “why the hell did I get rid of that stuff..I need to wear it now!”

  5. Hey guys, just to reiterate this stuff isn’t anything amazing… that’s WHY I’m selling it on Brick Lane as opposed to eBay….
Soph: I’m sorry but it really is the shit pit of my wardrobe that isn’t worth photographing and putting up on eBay….
Luxirare: Don’t worry, I won’t be regretting any of this stuff….

  6. yes, and the bloke with the guitar looks really cute. 😀
would love to come shop, but am thousands of miles away. alas!

  7. when you say ‘shit pit’, what does that entail exactly? only i’m trying to decide whether to swap my usual portabello road trip for a wander down brick lane…

  8. Susie, what size are most of your clothes that you’ll be selling? 🙂

  9. watch out the nasty council authority people don’t try to nab all your stuff – they get mean sometimes. This is where we started in January this year and we love it! The guy with the guitar is Lewis – he recorded his album in our neighbor’s warehouse. He’s really nice. Say hi if he’s there.
    xx

  10. Wow!
I seriously doubt I’ll fit into any of your clothes, me being so overweight right now >< Tho I'd love to meet THE sussie bubble!

  11. I wish, wish, WISH I had money and also didn’t have to work tomorrow! Would also love the chance to see you in person and tell you I think you and your blog are great! I missed the chance to see you when you judged the Nokia Young Designer awards back in Dublin as I was too busy to go support my college.
If you ever see a Irish girl charging up the street towards you, yelling about fashion, it might be me and I only mean well.
    Good luck tomorrow!

  12. ahhhh I so want to come 😀 :D!! Is it at brick lane market? because I’ve never been there before, hopefully I can find it xD

  13. Ooh, I wasn’t planning on going by this week, but now I’ll have to! The weather supposed to be beautiful tomorrow, too. Perfect for a day on the Lane.

  14. Just Another Londoner: When I say ‘shit pit’ it’s just basically really old stuff from about three or four years ago that I need to get rid of…things that I haven’t worn for aaages…. mostly high street, vintage stuff….
    Isabel: Mostly size 10…
Nothing special AT ALL…some is damaged too….
I didn’t want to make a big fuss about it at all…
If Londoners are out and about that way then come along but by no means would I make a trip especially there!
Eleanor: Honestly….there’s nothing like that…maybe a skirt with sequins falling off….

  15. Sundays on Brick Lane are brilliant, super busy but I lovee! I wish I was heading down London way tomorrow instead of during the week! I’m sure you’ll manage to sell off most of your things!
