Sans Smut

Since I last wrote about the very UN-smutty work of Pristine Smut, one half of the duo has temporarily broken away.  Liria Pristine went to Sao Paulo and inspired by her new metropolis surroundings, she has pushed her own solo work further from the jewellery she created with Rosie Kent for Pristine Smut.  Instead, this collection "Adapted Deliverance" ventures into a more raw place where the shapes are let loose and have grown bigger and more pronounced.  Gone are the dainty chains and instead we have clothing cross over into cowls, shoulder accoutrements, neckpieces, arm warmers (and not the half-arsed kind that come supplied with a matching top…) and half-finger gloves.  It's probably not immediately clear from the pics but the pieces are of course unisex and kind of know no boundaries in terms of how they can be styled…  Liria may be getting rampant inspiration from her newfound metropolis but hopefully she'll return to London and I'll come knocking on her door for a some kind of a dinosaur spiked spine and snood combo.

  1. It’s wonderful that you wrote about Liria and Rosie. They are very nice persons and they make extraordinary fairy charmed pieces

  2. You link the collection name “Adapted Deliverance” to the Dazed Digital article, which describes this as the work of the duo as Pristine Smut, not the solo work of Liria Pristine as you write. They also describe the inspiration as 1920s, not Sao Paulo. Maybe they are wrong and you are right, but this is weird considering that you are linking to them as a source…

  3. Creative sculpture indeed. The grey is the perfect shade and I love the arm bangle thingy – I’m too tired to think of a proper term.

  4. It’s so not right to be distracted from the pieces by these amazing models…who am I kidding, it’s a tad more fun!!!

  5. I like the desgn and colour on the third one. Would be nice with a marine blue coat when the chill winds blow.

  6. WOW…I need some serious spinal decoration, and the scarf in pic 5, and the shoulder deets in the first pic….damn it i want them all. Is there ANY way we can buy these beautiful pieces? xx

  7. Those shoulder pieces (the first pic especially) are amazing… would one ever be able to knit those I wonder?? hmmm probably not with my lack of patience *sigh*
