>> I'm making this a quickie because my eyes are threatening to fall out (still no glasses yet so wearing out the contacts till they are painfully bone dry…)…
Post Paris Fashion Week, it seems there's been a lot of Twitter/blog "He Said, She Said, He Said, She Said" about x replacing y at fashion houses. It seems to be a merry go round of creative directorships at European fashion houses at the mo where I can't quite keep track of who is supposedly leaving and who is being promoted. I get on the plane for 12 hours and come out and already word is that Joseph Altuzarra is being 'eyed up' by the houses whatever that actually translates to.
Two days ago, Hintmag hinted at Alberto Marani's appointment to succeed at a 'major house'. I didn't see his A/W 10-11 collection presentation in Paris this time but I did want to follow up considering his last memorable Nigerian-skirt collection. So here's the far more grounded collection where the emphasis has been shifted from Nigerian hyena trainers to homeliness and the domestic with a faintly sleek Marni spirit. Who knows whether this particular rumour will die a death but at the very least, it's a semi-fun game pairing designer's names with houses going by the designer's aesthetic…
lovely to be the first comment here.

I love the starkness of the images as well as the clothes. Sometimes, these photos are not intentionally, but really a gorgoeous work of art themselves.
I really like this collection from what I can see here, especially the sweatshirt in the third photo.
Combining it with kneehigh socks makes it look pretty pretty…
I like geometric forms og clothes and the also geometric prints. prints are like houses or plan construction.

Omg, I love the visual effect!

These are terrific. The shift silhouette of the mid 60s will always live, thankfully – And these have the 60s Mondrian geometrics reinvented for today. Gorgeous, thanks for finding these Susie, they are gold.
I don’t know, the girl in the pic looks to me like a Zombie… Is this really good clothes for daily wear or just for Halloween?
Almost like a modern geographic patchwork
I love how it’s so tribal, primitive and yet modern at the same time.
Brilliant.
Love what you pick 🙂

Hi Cindy and Susan: Yes, I’m in Hong Kong at the moment…
Sorry to hear about your assignment Cindy…
My trip here is a little short and I’m with my other half so I’m kind of just looking to spend a bit of quality time relaxing and…well… not doing much…
Thank you for your offers of meeting up/showing me around etc though…
