>> You may or may not have read about Shini of Park and Cube's rollercoaster ride to get a US Visa to come to New York for fashion week. So you'll be doubly more confused when you see this invite here. Bubble & Cube in physical presence tomorrow night at W Hotel Times Square is NOT to be because US Embassies in both London and Warsaw are evil entities who are overly suspicious about every move you make and are just plain mean. I would theoretically advise that if you're in the area of either embassy that you throw an egg or tomato or both. But err…that would get you arrested on suspicion of holding an explosive tomato. Or egg.
Shini and I have been working together with her beautiful pictures to put together a wee exhibition, a snapshot of London style and fashion with captions written by me, to coincide with W London's opening. It really is more Cube than Bubble therefore but we were going for alphabetical simplicity. I'm going to be slightly dour and grumpy about Cube (aka Shini) not being there. I will do my utmost to send my apologies to anyone who turns up expecting the full shebang.
In any case, it's an open RSVP so any New Yorkers who are up for some Bubble and Spiritual Cube action, please do RSVP via Facebook. If I shake my hair loose and have it tumbling over my face, I can also vaguely stand in for Shini… just need to keep my mouth shut…
That sounds amazing. I really wish I could be there and join you… Enjoy!!

I completely know how you feel. Silly embassy people did not give visa to my wife as it could be an arranged wedding!!!!!!!!!!! And I had then to show them photos etc. but still, no. So, we landed in Amsterdam until we go through try No 2. i should have bought her a fake passport and go live in Chelsea as respected citizens.
London’s cool though.
visas are just crappy. my other half needs one to come here. this exhibition looks cool, its a shame you both couldnt be there

who designed the garment in the invite’s picture was it a student?
Ashanti: Yes it is by a 1st year CSM student…from the internal white show they do – Shini might know the exact student’s name…
sounds so cool wish i could be there!
I’m such a fan of both your work, wish I could be thereall the burocracy is so ridiculous!!
Ahh, sound amazing, is there any chance you’ll display pictures in London as well?
Just RSVPd…however we’ll see how tired we are after the drive, leaving at 10am tomorrow!
A huge sympathy for Shini…poor girl. As a stand in for Shini….please make the evening SUCCESSFUL, her work deserves to be noticed and be heard.
Do you think there’d be another exhibition in London’s W Hotel too – would be great though ;P
What a shame that Shini couldn’t get that visa! but what a fab exhibition from two of my favourite ladies!
Oh boo!! What a shame Susie, Bubble & Cube has such a fab ring to it…
sounds cool would love to go

Seriously agree, it is beyond tragic that the US turned away her visa. I sheepishly apologized to her on behalf of my country and have thrown a multitude of explosive tomatoes and eggs (in my mind). Would definitely RSVP for this event if I were lucky enough to be in NY for fashion week. Can’t wait to see photos from it!
Best of luck, and actually quite like the thought of you with your hair down doubling as Shini… it might just work? xx
the coolest people arent on facebook…therefore how can I rsvp?
have fun, susie.
