>> I'll soon shut up about Tokyo.  I am continuously apologetic because it feels a bit odd having had such a good time in light of the recent situation in Japan.  The truth is, in my stupid blissful ignorance, you couldn't physically feel the after effects nor did people talk of it in mourning and all that remains to be done is to positively look towards the future.  Aid is still being consciously raised and the rebuild and rehabilitation is at the forefront of people's mind (well, according to the news that I vaguely got the gist of…) and in Tokyo where practically everything is back to normal, it's onwards and upwards and with that in mind, in a hyper-happy haven in Daikanyama, where on a superficial level, nothing felt dented at all…

Mai, Tokyo's primary party photographer and Misha Janette, Tokyo-based journalist and stylist took me to Harcoza where there was enough pink, frill and kawaii of the CUTIE sort to fill up my girly quota.  You half expected the place to smell of that really really fake strawberry candy (weirdly in Isetan's food hall, I bought real strawberries that tasted of fake strawberry candy… a most odd sensation…).  Not surprisingly, Steve and Phil loitered outside, probably deeming Harcoza to be a place where it's best to let the girls get on with chatting about 'periods, stickers and boys' (this is the precise trio that Steve likes to think my head is filled with, when I've flailed into a girly flap…).

Sure enough down in the basement, it became something of a Japanese blogger cohort as Mai introduced me to Momoe and Juri who are both Japanese ELLEGirl bloggers (Momoe also is editor of the streetstyle website FADSnap), girls who both had a pink dabbed in places and so the girly fest began…

(Momoe with pink tinged ends.  I asked the dudes if they thought I could pull of the same dye job.  They said… "Nah… your clothes would clash!"  Oh well, that's the end of that discussion…)

Ice oolong tea (my summer beverage of choice…) and Harcoza cookies came down to join the party and in the presence of other bloggers, we all got our DSLRs and just started snapping away at each other as well as anything at Harcoza's den of cuteness that took our fancy.  For me, this included Harcoza's lovely choice of accessories, a pair of ankle biker boots the colour of blue alginate (the sort they used to get a mould out of my teeth…), as well as all the candy-tinged trinketry that might very well look lovely in Tavi's sacred shrine.

What's a girly blogger pic fest in the basement of a cutie shop without a key group shot?  This one comes with my favoured wink as well as a yellow perspex crescent moon.  Say "Kawaiiiiiii"!!!
