Powdery Pastures

>> My brain has officially decomposed into a mush after a week of Bacchanalian merriment that hasn't ended yet as I'm about to be whisked away to The Hand & Flowers in Marlow where duck fat chips and a copper bathtub awaits.  The brain decomposing process has been helped along by repeat plays of my favourite segment in Fantasia (when December comes around, outcomes the Disney collection…) – The Pastoral Symphony and in particular, when centaurs and their pretty centaurides meet in a scene of gratuitous vanity and sexist fantasy.  I am totally entitiled to think HOW GREAT it would be to lounge around with cherubs plaiting my hair whilst I file my nails with a reed and apply some lippie with a berry.  The reality of objects that I've recently come across through kind gifts and lucky sample sale finds are also not helping me snap out of this hazy pastoral vision…

I'm writing this off as a December/birthday/Christmas combined indulgence.  Come January, I'll be looking at this and puking on to my tax return forms.

  1. God! Fantasia is my all time favorite animation movie πŸ™‚ Love that you had fun inserting that into your post!

  2. How do you manage to keep your orchid plants alive? As soon as I bought mine the flowers all dropped off one by one. Now I keep the lonely stem in the window sill, hoping life will return..

  3. As always your photos are amazing… Susie i think that you are the only one blogger that i consider as well… Your matching, your searching, your selections, your outfits, ALL it’s extremely studied and nailed!
