>> Sorry to be all "Oh look, another e-shop! Because that's all fashion-minded people do. Browse websites all day and create virtual wish lists whilst munching on dried fruit." Well ok, that is in fact me. I do spend a gross amount of time poring over websites, chewing on dried pears. I promise I'm not posting this for the sole sake of encouraging mindless spending. Then again, can a 3.1 Phillip Lim purchase ever be completely without thought? He, the purveyor of sensible, sensitive and maddeningly effortless pieces that float into your life without you even knowing. Well, that's the way I feel about the Phillip Lim bits and bobs that I have in my wardrobe including of course a very very helpful bag.
When I did my obsessively pedantic post about Eeeeeeeeeee-shops, I flagged up the notable absence of 3.1 Phillip Lim's in-house e-commerce. It has cometh though and it has a good selection across the brand'swomenswear, menswear and accessories. When asked why e-commerce has taken so long, Lim simply says, "I am real classicist so for me the right way isn’t always the fastest way – we worked really hard to merge the brand experience with shopping online."
It is currently open to US customers only but the lovely peeps at Phillip Lim were kind enough to share a 20% discount code (valid until 23rd April) for shoppers that can be used on the site so hopefully all Stateside readers can take advantage. Enter this at the checkout and ye shall see figure decrease pleasingly.

Oh the irony. I can't personally partake in it unless I get stuff sent to a friend's address in New York. Easily done of course. No need to fret for non-US-ers as Phillip Lim is widely stocked internationally, both online and physically but it is always nice to browse through products from the source and I quite like the negative-spaced out sparseness of the layout. There are also a few product exclusives for the site such as this smokey grey rain jacket from the S/S 12 collection. Another piece for the future rail in my wardrobe labelled "Plastic Fantastic".
The online shop is part of the redesign of the entire 3.1 Phillip Lim website, which sees an introduction of his own Tumblr, something that Lim cites as unchartered territory for him as he is usually very private.
