>> I have to admit that I'm really late to the Instagram game. Which means, that inevitably, I'll be late to the Vine thing as well (I'm not an iPhone person so that also slows me down). Such is the Instagram doofus that I was, I didn't realise there were more than four filters until I scrolled to the right. Six months down the line and I'm pretty much converted and dare I say, fairly adept at uploading the silly scapes that I get myself into.
It's sort of vaguely laughable that an Instagram newbie such as myself is taking part in an #InstaCampaign but seeing as the period of fashion week throws up the best of Instagram opportunities and since I incessantly try to go to as much as possible in a day, I'm going to make a good bash out of joining in on Hudson Jeans' #LetYourselfGo campaign. Coming off the back of their 10 year anniversary in 2012, they kick off 2013 with something that almost everyone can get stuck into, encouraging people to upload a moment that embodies the hashtag #LetYourselfGo, which in itself is wildly open to interpretation. It goes hand in hand with their main campaign featuring Georgia May Jagger letting herself go in London.
I kicked things off last week in New York by tagging some of my Instas with #LetYourselfGo but over the next few days at London Fashion Week, I will be properly letting myself go or observing things that appear to be letting themselves go, whatever or whoever that may be. I'll also be helping to choose one of the cash prize winners who will get their Insta pic featured as part of the Hudson SS 13 ad campaign.
Here's the breakdown of the prizes…
– 1 weekly winner for 6 weeks ‚Äì 1 pair of HUDSON Jeans selected at random
– 8 winners will receive USD1,000 cash & USD500 gift card toward Hudson Jeans & their image will be featured in the SS 13 print campaign.
– 1 Grand prize winner will receive a trip for two to London, four night stay, round trip airfare for two and USD1,000 spending cash. Plus their image will also be featured in SS 13 print campaign.
That's a pretty sweet finale prize doing what is essentially now second nature to most people with a smartphone. All you need to do is hashtag your chosen image with #LetYourselfGo on Instagram or Twitter or upload a pic directly here. Now, to let myself go in a jump in a suitably grainy filter as befits an #Instacampaign…
