Neck Nugget

>> Apologies for the absence that is actually disturbing me.  You may or may not know that I'm in Paris with the fashion week circus, churning out write-ups for Dazed Digital and mini-blogging for SHOWstudio.  Which means that any fashion week nuggets will have to sit, wait, nest a bit before they hatch it out here.  I definitely have some gooooood nuggets – plenty of them.  For now though it's that old chestnut again – outfits.  I started off with a refreshed colourful number that I can't put up yet in full size crayon-clashing glory but here are two that starts to show signs of my wear and tear…

(Marni blazer, vintage cream jumper and white shirt, Fannie Schiavoni chainmail top, Brook and Lyn 'Surrounded' necklace, Heikki Salonen trousers, Heavy Machine shoes, Tory Burch bag, Marani scarf)

(Louise Goldin structured sweater, Opening Ceremony x WTWTA Ira skirt, COS panelled leggings, vintage boots, Lynn Cockburn belt with COS keyring, G.H.O.S.T. necklace, Tory Burch bag)

I will provide a wee nugget though that centres around this beautiful ode to hiking/bungee ropes and acrylic by G.H.O.S.T., a jewellery label that again I discovered through a random, small-world meeting with someone who bore me gifts all the way from Indonesia.  This is from the Ghost and the Temple of Shadows collection which has other ropey treats (I of course mean that in the BEST way possible…)

  1. Absolutely I’ll take the Marni blazer and Tory Burch bag, and maybe the Opening Ceremony x WTWTA Ira skirt.. The first look is great!

  2. Haha, that term ropey is so English. I remember my cousin describing her hungover state that way. And yes, that necklace is definitely ropey in a good way! Would be wonderful for someone who enjoys extreme sports during the day and looking pretty at night.

  3. ahh ok so I was definitely standing 20 feet away when you took that picture outside of rick owens, but I was too busy hyperventilating in starstruck awe to say hi. The only fashion week show invitation I had was for Lanvin, and I promised myself if I saw you there I’d muster to courage to talk to you, but alas, didn’t see you.

  4. terrific necklace…love the the utilitarian ropes with the frivolous crystals.

  5. why can’t i find ghost and the temple of shadows to purchase online 🙁
i want HUGE SKULLS!!! know of any labels doing them?…

  6. more and more excited about whats next. Very refreshing blog and very refreshing ideas. Im glad that I came across this when I did. I love what youve got to say and the way you say it.
