Vino Printing

>> I'm giving advance warning that I'll be taking a couple of days off to really tackle the problem that is my godawful storage solution in my apartment.  With no prospect of moving (thank you to those estate agents who never return calls…), I'll be staying put and grappling with poles, screws and shelves.  I may even have a Yard Sale if you guys are willing to trek up to N7, grab a shit donut from Greggs and munch on it whilst rifling through my unwanted piles of clothing.  What say you to that eh?  Greggs.  Donut.  Mountains of crap.

In particular, I have 'entertainment' on my mind.  As in, having people around my place and not having their backs stick to a pleather sofa whilst staring out onto a balcony filled with rusting furniture.  As in, being able to point out bits and pieces and not say, this was given to me by my landlord who goes by the totally personable name of 'Octagon Investments'.  A bit of Basso & Brooke sitting in the form of a Globetrotter picnic case might be the ticket to distracting people from the brown pleather.  Designers' extension to homewares can in some cases feel a bit forced and a bit "Oh look… another collab to keep the money books looking healthy…" but with Basso & Brooke's signature prints, it seems perfectly natural to decoupage them all over a beautiful beautiful Globetrotter case or apply them to cushions…

Alfresco Dining Sets

The collaboration is actually part of a range for Turning Leaf Wines, weirdly enough which also
includes lampshades, cushions, wine tables, console table, drinks
cabinet and a Bergere Gondola chair, all covered with two prints inspired by err…  a Chardonnay and Zinfandel wine, which also grace those wine bottles.  I have no idea what Turning Leaf is all about given that any vino is good vino to me (yes, I'm completely NOT discerning…) but hey if they want a in-resident designer to make fancy soft furnishings for them, so be it…

The range of goods is at Shop at Bluebird at the moment, a place which I don't frequent enough…

Is it weird that furniture and cushions themed around a glass of vino is ACTUALLY making sense here?

  1. I would rifle through your stuff anytime, please make this happen! I could do with some of those cases for my overweight NYC luggage!

  2. I live in N7; I’ll help you sort out your apartment and take your unwanted belongings off of your hands!
