>> Short shifty posts for the next day or so I'm afraid as I'll be on the move in my looooong flight to Sydney.  I didn't realise how long until I properly looked at my itinerary.  Apparently I'm supposed to pretend that I'm in Australia as soon as I step on that plane.  Hah!  Melatonin, you will be my best friend…

After some weighty discussions with Business of Fashion and Jefferson Hack, insider info from Industrie, I thought I'd throw the balance back into the way of something more random… like this jacket and dress adorned with toadstools.  I snapped this ensemble by TBA (To Be Adored) at the Urban Outfitters press day and couldn't resist posting pronto.  You get the sweet sweet picture when you click onto TBA's website; Francophilic, girly and oh-so-whimsical.  I'd personally need some de-saccharisation to tackle the S/S 10 collection but this toadstool print does it for me completely.  If you can take cats, naked ladies and daisies, why not toadstools?

Especially when it reminds me of one of my favourite portions of the Nutcracker Suite in Fantasia.  Oh, and click through to You Tube and ye shall read some hilariously extreme comments about the potential 'racist' element of this toadstool dance.  Pah!  If you incidentally do feel this way, I'm not sure you're err…reading the right blog!

Shroooooooming away soon… see you in melatonin land!

I really love the first dress. I dunno that I’d wear it now, but I used to dress very lolita-ish, and it would have gone with my wardrobe back then perfectly.

Just to be clear guys, I think this is only going into UK Urban Outfitters stores… I did a thing about US/UK Urban differences aaaages ago and I believe the differentiation is still the case….I’m not sure why!!! As vice versa, I love the collabs that US Urban does…

I’ve always thought mushrooms have a lot of personality. I did a mushroom pendant with brown diamonds, but I only made one and it was sold. No more shrooms for me.

  19. Maddy says:

Great to know I’m not the only one with a mushroom obsession! Cute jacket!

  20. Ha, the toadstool dance is my favorite part of Fantasia too! Love the print.
