Jeans Trompe

Jeans Trompe

This is monumental stuff here.  At least monumental for the denim corner of my wardrobe.  In which case not that many of you will care.  Still, I have to indulge.  I haven't bought a pair of jeans in… … … (that signifies the amount of time it took me to recall the last pair of jeans I actually bought…)… approximately two years.  This pair of trompe l'oeil stud printed jeans are by trick of the eye meisters Inside Out and will be my monumental jeans buy, the first in two years.  The four designs of studs, sequins, zippers and distressed jeans have been printed on cotton stretch denim and I think will be available on the online shop soonish.

So obsessed with the stud print jeans (a sort of quiet antithesis to all the DIY studding going on all over the blogosphere…) am I that I'm not even bothering to try them on, the way I do with other jeans, hence why I can never be arsed to buy them (denim department changing rooms are my worse nightmare…).  At ¬£78 a pop, I'm also semi-satisfied that I have yet to join the ranks of designer denim devotees (i.e. jeans for over ¬£100 that apparently all have bum-enhancing/thigh-slimming/hip-shrinking properties – none of which I'm all that interested in…).  Let's wait out another two years though when it all starts going Pete Tong bodywise and we'll see what happens…

For now, I'm just pleased I've bothered to even procure some jeans full stop.

I love the ripped/distressed ones – I’ve been looking for a pair but sadly ¬£78 is rather a lot for me, as I’m only fourteen!

Really nice concept! Love both the first and fourth pair you posted. This also reminds me of how I need some new jeans ASAP…

I’m starting to abhor my jeans, if only I could be mildly convincing in tights…

We the people of Canada approve of this trend.

LOVING the zippers!!! So original! Now if they could only trompe l’oeil a model’s bum, hips and thighs onto my own, they would truly be perfect.

I like my jeans, however I haven’t done anything creative with them or bothered to buy anything outstanding like these pieces in a while..
    Should reconsider..

I agree with twenty, how far can we push this trompe l’oeil thing?

If I were to buy any jeans after a complete jeans hiatus, these would definitely be it. Can’t wait to see how you style these.

For two seconds I thought you were going to say you were buying denim printed leggings, and I vomited a bit in my mouth. But then I scrolled down and all was well. That would be the one example of trompe l’oeil I cannot accept. THESE are gorgeous.

Haven’t bought jeans since Feb 2008! Increasing weight has been too depressing after one ‘fat’ jeans after the other. These look super cool though! Wouldn’t mind the pairs with bum-enhancing/thigh-slimming/hip-shrinking properties too 😀

    Oh. So. Kwl.
I feel your pain jeans-wise… I hate shopping for them and as a result have one pair – grey Acne jeans – that I buy again and again, in slightly different washes and slightly different sizes. I know they fit and flatter, so I just buy in their amazing online sales whenever my old ones have become holey beyond-even-Jeeves-repair… Boring but true. I barely wear jeans so one pair is enough, though I do sometimes wish I had a rad pair like these or some coloured ones… Sigh.

Jean…nee….pant shopping is hell for me of short inseam and thunder thighs, hence why I stick to skirts and dresses half the time. You too?
But when I find a pair of jeans that I love, I will wear them to death. They aren’t as crazy stylee as the ones you’ve picked (people would laugh at me if I wore them, they can tell I am not brave enough for the crazy stylee looks) but I’m not against studding up a few of them. (though ripping them shall never happen).
    BTW happy 3rd bday!

I have one pair of denims- my Boris Bidjan Saberi’s. Cost a bomb, but they’re rather amazing & likely to last a very long time. These look interesting, Insideout are pretty cool, surprised they have such few stockists.

I love the bottom right pair, not a bad price as well. Is the zip top it’s teamed with also Inside Out? It interests me very much.

Wow…I love them! But you have to be very cute to wear those kinds of jeans…which you are! My body needs jeans with a little more illusion! Love your blog!

Oh, I WANT! Trust you to find possibly the coolest jeans I’ve ever seen. Makes me positively ashamed to be sitting here in the super-faded ripped up flares I’ve had for about five years. Though to be fair, I put them on just to go to the dentist.

Even performing due diligence on a company looking to list in Hong Kong could generate information considered a secret – if authorities wanted to interpret it that way, one lawyer said.
